two 7.2 amp hour agm sla's from an APC "Smart" UPS that failed. The batteries were okay. This makes the bike quite heavy, but allows going all the way to work without having to pedal.

45 minutes, half of which was spent adjusting the brakes. You'll need a #1 phillips, not included with the bike for this. One brake shoe must be removed or the front tire deflated to assemble the front wheel.

Can be run from ac wall adapter, on 8 'C' cells that insert in the base, or in my case, from a 12 volt deep cycle battery using an adapter cord that plugs in the fan's wall adapter jack. Uses 0.43 amps at 13.3 volts on low (5.7 watts) roughly the same as one of the 12 volt lights that came with the solar kits

From Harbor Freight Tools, Coconut Creek/Margate store. List prices on the web $229/sale $200, but the store price was $179. I intended to buy only 1, but for the price and the long drive, I got 2. The new charge controller model has a usb charging adapter on it in addition to the usual outlets.

The back wall faces south. If the unit had been roof or ground mounted it would get better exposure, but would also probably be hit by lightning or hail long before it's useful life was over. The array gets the morning sun well mounted here.

The array wires go around the corner and through a hole in the with the phone wires. There is no interference with DSL noticed when the unit is charging even though the charge wires are not shielded.
